Last Wednesday saw me once again with sandwiches, paint brushes and 9 versatile and very capable managers from Oakam. This was our latest corporate social responsibility event with it’s typical and practical Collage win-win working twist.
By this I mean the event was a real grass roots practical community project with genuine outcomes which were mutually beneficial to the three parties involved.
The Croydon African Carribean Family Organisation (CACFO) were great hosts and made us all feel very welcome and provided tea and coffee ‘on-tap’ throughout the day. We were also had the bonus of an impromptu presentation from the founder Mrs Gee Bernard. CAFCO were able to get the front of their building re-painted in time for their 20 years celebration which is due later this month…details to be added shortly.
Oakham: This was the second event we had facilitated for the Company and a very cost effective and original team building event was organised as part of their Aspire programme for their managers. As well as being a team building exercise, they were able to raise further their company profile locally and help their local community in a practical way: they painted a local facility and by hiring Collage Network to organise the event this enables the social enterprise to become sustainable and to continue its work helping people and companies to collaborate.
